When it comes to FCA products its not a matter of waiting for a defect free model, its a matter of finding one with defects that bother you the least in your day to day usage,
I looked over about 10 GCs in total on the lot before settling on the one where the visible defects bothered me the least:
1 had a door so misaligned that there was noticeable wind noise from the rear door since the edge of the door protruded out from flush (but all other areas were flush leading me to believe the actual door had a casting issue). Another literally had a screw loose somewhere behind the dash, you could hear it when you made turns on the test drive. 1 had paint drips so bad it looked like it was spray painted by a 2 year old on one door, like drips the size a pea.
The list goes on. Not a quality product but still a good car.
Point being if this is the only defect you can see after going over the car thoroughly I would say its a winner and it wouldn't keep me from buying if its the car you want.
