Trailhawk or Limited?

I've been having a little back and forth with over which model to get when my current lease is up. Looking at the numbers it looks like the standard Trailhawk with sunroof, blind spot will fit my budget as well as a Limited with LUX II and blind spot as they are fairly close price wise. I need some advice opinions on which route to go, I really like the Trailhawk, especially the ELSD and QL, love the features of QL. On the other hand I really like the HIDs and LED fogs on the LUX II as well as the dual pane roof. For the folks who have the HIDs and LEDs, are they really that much improvement over the stock halogens? Vision as night is important to me as I do a lot of night driving with my wife and infant. I'm really split down the middle on this so any insights from the people who have these models would be really help me out.

You know you can get QL/ELSD in the ORA-II package on a Limited?

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

HID is an absolute must in my book. Stock lights are just not very good.

Might as well get an Overland if you load up limited like that.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

Thanks for the replies. Yes I do, I would love to get ORA II on the limited but it would put the monthly payment just out of reach unfortunately. Would also love an Overland, maybe in another life I wont be doing much off road but is QL worth it for every day driving?
I've always had halogens so I guess I don't know what I'm missing but if they are that much better it may help sway my thinking toward the LUX II package.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

if you wont be off-roadin' much, the limited is fine. As mentioned you can get QL/ORAII on a Limited. The only thing you'll really be missing are skid plates.

My .02, i love the dual pane roof.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

ORA-II includes skid plates.

No you don't need QL for everyday not-much-offroad driving. "Worth it?" Only if you have the money to spend on it and want it more than something else.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

The Limited w/ Lux and ORA2 really seems to be what you want. Save a few bucks up and go for it, I have that setup and it's been great.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

And add the CRD for approximately $500 more than the Hemi on the Limited.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

If youre going to go limited, atleast upgrade the bulbs as soon as you get it. I had a 2014 Limited and thought the headlights were terrible. I have a 15 Overland now and the headlights are incredible. Plus I upgraded to LED Fog Lamps on mine so the lighting output is excellent.

The limited is going to be a classier option but the trailhawk has more of the off road ruggedness. I agree with the other users, the Limited with Lux II and blind spot isnt that far off from Overland pricing. Go the Overland route and get all the features you want (LED DRL, HID, Dual Pane, etc). You dont need 4x4 if youre not doing a whole bunch of offroading.

Re: Trailhawk or Limited?

If you get a Limited with ORAII and Lux II, you've basically got a Trailhawk, sans the badging and rock rails (optional)

The Limited will give you the option of a beige leather; Trailhawk is only black. You can also get perforated seats in the Limited.

Keep in mind that it might be difficult finding a Limited model with all of those packages in one; at least that was my experience with my '15.

Also, according to new owners, the standard features sheet, and the updated Jeep website, the TH has ventilated front seats; they are just suede.
