Replica Train Horn, nothing wrong with that but it's still not a real train horn. More than loud enough to cause hearing loss I'm sure.

I think mines a replica. No way it produces 130db to 150db at any distance. I wouldn't put my ear near it though...most horns are deafening at a foot away. Its louder than a car horn but I doubt its deafening. Even still, I rarely use it.

Re: Train Horn

This thread brings out the stupid in many people, following people home, beating them up, removing them from the gene pool.
While the horn blasting people walking by is a stupid thing to do, no one is dying over it. Using it in traffic isn't going yo kill anyone either.

It's time to become grown ups guys. The Jeep is not a toy, and the horn is safety equipment, not something to "blow after games and have fun". You can hit this stupid train horn when someone drifts into your lane and startle someone to the point where you cause an accident. How would you feel then?

We all have to share the roads, and if you're immature enough to do BS like this...you shouldn't be allowed to operate a motor vehicle on a public road IMHO.
What is the harm done from blowing the horn after a sporting event? Also, you do not know what i meant by "have fun" so I will explain. A friend of mine has slightly over four hundred acres with trails just big enough for there dually to squeeze through. I normally go to a spot and hit the horn for 3 seconds every so often and we time each other to see how long it take one another to find my jeep with a dirt bike or his gator. I know that is not everybody's cup of tea. But we like doing that every once in a while. I'm not saying they should be used to scare people because they simply should not but I am saying there are some totally safe ways to use them.

I never said I'd beat anyone up. I said anyone who uses a freaking train horn on unsuspecting people in public for entertainment NEEDS/DESERVES a beating. There's a difference. Learn how to read. Any person who'd defend the guy in that video or in any way side with them probably means you don't posses the brain power to read...so my question to you is who read that post to you? Are you sure they didn't leave anything important out?

Anyway-

If you want to insinuate someone is stupid, watch that moron in the YouTube video blowing a train horn at people for fun. To me that is the epitome of stupid.

To make the assumption that using a train horn while at highway speed would never cause an accident or loss of life is the dumbest yet. I'm assuming you've never heard an actual train horn in the real world. YouTube doesn't do it justice. Do some research and get back to me on that. My suggestion, get as close as you can to that type of horn and enjoy the sound. I'll wait for your feedback.

To take up for that kind of disrespectful and dangerous behavior tells me all I need to know about you.

You did say you'd follow the guy home, you did say he deserves a beating, in another post someone warned you about following anyone home as they may have a gun and you said it was worth it.
I should have realized you were a pussy and would never actually follow through with this, it was just the tough guy on a computer thing, sorry for not seeing that right away.

Agreed. I think people need to get over it. One or two people repeating the same message is fine; we don't need three pages of it.

Joe, when I see a jerk off acting like that guy in the video it makes me want to react. Shame on me, however, I stand behind my statement, he needs a beating. It would be my pleasure to be the guy who gives it to him. Thankfully I've never been around a moron that acted like that and been forced to decide.

You like to name call on the Internet huh? Me saying what I said doesn't make me a pussy, that statement comes from you and your inability to craft a better response. Instead of coming correct, you resort to simple 5 letter words to express your anger. What I said might make me a person who has a bad temper or a person with poor self control, but not a pussy. To call me what you did based on what I said doesn't make sense. Think your trash talk through and try a little harder. Your first two attempts are amateurish and not based in reality.

I've met 2 guys named joe in my life. Both were 5"4 and 140 lbs. I'm guessing you're in that neighborhood too. One was balding terribly and had a severe inferiority complex. I'd bet I'm hitting pretty close to home on all fronts.

Have a great day joe!

Re: Train Horn

I am thinking of mounting a cruse ship horn on my roof. I have the pano, do you you think it will fit? I am really competitive and knowing so many have train horns I feel I have to do better.
