Transfer case fluid capacity? Help please!!

I just drained the transfer case fluid and filled it up (Mopar ATF+4). But, here is the problem. I pumped 2 quarts of it and it still did not seep out. I am out of the fluid. I checked the level in the transfer case with a "L" shaped allen wrench... and it just a little below the hole.

Anyone know what's the capacity of these? Can I drive the jeep or should I park it until I fill it?? I plan to buy another quart tomorrow and add more until it seeps out.

I searched the internet and I cannot find any mention of the capacity.

Anyone also know the capacities for the differentials?

Cheers,
-A

Re: Transfer case fluid capacity? Help please!!

I have an Overland

Less than 2 qts came out and I filled it until some came out the drain hole, took 2 qts and 4 ounces.

I am sure you will be alright with 2 qts.

Re: Transfer case fluid capacity? Help please!!

Thanks a million, guys! On jeepforum I think, it said 4 pints which is equal to 2 qts. Perhaps, my Jeep was not 100% level.

Also for others who may need capacity on the differentials. About 800 ml came out from each and I filled it up until oil started coming out. According to the build sheet, both of my axles are 195mm.

Cheers,
Aiyer.
