Trucar deal. Is it good???

I am looking at the following:

2015 Grand Cherokee altitude:
Bright white
Navigation
Speaker upgrade
Backup camera with park assist
Sunroof
Price on jeep.com 40,480$

I have not gone to the dealer yet but I have a trucar certificate for 37k and change. Is this a good enough deal? Could i do better without it and try and negotiate? It is a car that is available in lot. Is there any harm in taking one from the lot that could have possibly been sitting there for some time rather then ordering?

Sorry for what could be stupid questions but I never used trucar.

Thanks guys!

Do a price out on Edmunds.com and see what the invoice is. If Trucar is lower, then it is a good deal. It never hurts to negotiate a price on the car that is in the lot, the dealer is paying for that car and the sooner it is gone the better.

On the other hand, negotiating on an ordered car has the benefit of not costing the dealer anything in floor plan expenses.

Getting to a dealership on a morning when the sales manager had a good breakfast, or even better - a good breakfast after a good night, will get you the best deal. ;)

...as to an Altitude "on the lot"...you'll be very lucky if it's still there. There is a very limited supply of them so you may need to order one in your name...

With the true car pricing, take that to multiple dealerships in your area so that way you can try to get a lower price and pick the dealership that gives you the lowest price. 37K sounds a bit high in my opinion but who knows.
