Good idea - not a fan. Think they both detract from the overall good looks of the Overland. Especially that wind deflector - has JC Whitney all over it - lol

Should be easy sell for you on both those pieces.

Lots of peeps on these forums who want that look.

If you get crossbars and use the roof rack you'll see real utility of the step bar. I use it quite often for our gear.

You are right !.
Even when hand washing . The roof can be a bugger if you are under 6 feet tall.
They do nothing for the truck's good looks.

Re: Trying to decide which Jeep

It's beautiful. Great choice. I would also ditch the front deflector (and get a clear bra), and ditch the side bars; it will look even better without those items. Personally for me I would (and did on mine) ditch the chrome mirrors (personal preference).

Re: Trying to decide which Jeep

Yeah I am going to try and sell them locally first as shipping those out of Canada would be costly.

I am 6ft 5 mixed with some long arms I can reach the top. Lol I can use a two step to put my Christmas lights on.

The issue with the step bars is they dirty my pants when entering or exiting.

Smart move on the warranty, with or without the air suspension there are a lot of very expensive parts on those beasts. Ask the dealer how much a V8 replacement would cost.

I like the red, but it looks best with light frost and that isn't a kid friendly interior color...

The V6 has more than enough power for pretty much any use... the V8 is just a tad more fun and relaxed but either is a nice truck. The transmission on the V8 is a much better unit, but allegedly all the reflashes can settle down the V6 unit.

Dig around under the carpets for funny stuff, and see what the VINs report as far as recalls completed/outstanding on both.
