Two Quick Questions

1. Once I enable the manual shift mode, how do I go straight back to D? The only way I've done it is to shift up all the way through the gears.

2. Does the rear window open dependently from the back hatch? If so, where's the button for that?

Thanks!

1) just hold it all the way to the right. You can also hold way left to go from D to 1st!

2) it's above the license plate to the right. Lil black box. (just noticed you have. WK2) isn't that the button on the back trim?

Hope this helps

Re: Two Quick Questions

The button for the rear glass hatch on the underside of the chrome trim, once you push the button you should hear the glass release, but you have to pull the glass up, it will not lift open on it's own. The button on the trim unlocks the glass the button on the underside releases it from the lift gate.

Not necessarily. The owner's manual says:

"NOTE: To select the proper gear position for maximum deceleration (engine braking), move the shift lever to the left D(-) and hold it there. The transmission will shift to the range from which the vehicle can best be slowed down."
