Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

Mine was built on April 6th, and it's working fine, although I don't have the Advanced Technology Group.

Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

Mine went crazy again today. Forgot all of my Sirius PreSets, then the auto door locks were turned off. Not sure what else had changed b/c I didn't take the time to go through the rest of the menu. Not sure wtf could cause a problem like this to just happen OUT OF THE FREAKING BLUE!

Software is buggy as hell. How this passed QC I don't know. NAV settings will not stick as well. Well after n-th try some of them finally stick, some of them are not.

My software version is 13.10.0 and fairly recent build. Hopefully they will have fix for this soon. At least as far as other things they seem to be working OK.
On the day I got mine home it was doing the same damn thing. Click and then it would uncheck it for you. Pissed me off but hasn't automatically done it that quickly since. It has however randomly changed settings over time. smh

EDIT: also noticed my NAV setting for the directional changed today from 2D North Up from Forward Up.(that really drives me crazy)

Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

On my Overland all the Adv Tech Settings are going wacko. Also option to show turn by turn directions in Evic will not stick. Gets reset every time.

Hope this is software and not hardware issue.

Did anybody found section in manual that will explain what all the SETTINGS mean? Also descriptions of all the NAV settings would be nice. I can figure out what show 3D buildings mean or show rivers but some of the other options are not straight forward.

Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but turns showing in EVIC only show when you're close to the turn.

I believe that's on the black/white manual, the one with 600+ pages, don't have it here right now but it does explain all the options.

Yes, it was. The Jeep was running and we were out driving at the time. I'm gonna go play with this some more today and see if there's a trick to it or something.

Initially was thinking that some settings got assigned to particular keyfob and they get switch around once I pick another fob but I unchecked option to ties settings to keyfob.

Especially FCW gets reset from FAR to NEAR. Sometimes I click and it resets immediately.

Am I missing something here??? Anybody else is having similar issues?
Every time I turn my car on the climate control is off. Every few days I lose all of my presets. I have only had the car two weeks and I love it but I am getting close to flipping out. I thought it might be a lose fuse but I checked and that wasn't the case.

I would still check yours- a lose fuse could easily be resetting everything when you hit a bump.

Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

Playing around with the NAV today and notice that I can do 2D Heading up and North up but in 3D mode I can only do Heading up - Is that also what you all see ? I could have sworn I could do both with 2D and 3D

Is there a way to set this up just like Garmin has - 2D if you are not navigating to any particular address and 3D if you do?

Re: UConnect 2014 memory issues

Auto headlights on mine are out of wack too. Turn on in very light shade and then wont shut off in direct sunlight go. Also, when starting up in my garage they come on and then never shut off. Just noticed this today. Not sure if it has been occurring at every garage start up or not.

Mine come on in the garage, or even on a cloudy day. I haven't checked the Jeep yet, but in the MDX there is a sensitivity setting in the EVIC.
