UConnect 2014 memory issues

Just picked up brand new Overland (build 4/6 and software version 13.10). Everything is fine except the fact that UConnect has some memory problems.

I go into settings and set everything up. Come back next time and it resets it to whatever. Some settings stick some don't. It is driving me bananas. Initially was thinking that some settings got assigned to particular keyfob and they get switch around once I pick another fob but I unchecked option to ties settings to keyfob.

Especially FCW gets reset from FAR to NEAR. Sometimes I click and it resets immediately.

Am I missing something here??? Anybody else is having similar issues?

Weird ... I just noticed this one mine today.

The check marks for ParkSense and Forward Collision Warning settings were unchecked, and when I rechecked the box, they unchecked like 3 seconds later automatically. I can't get the check mark to stick?

In my 2014 Overland, after placing some check marks with ignition in OFF mode they go away after the 3 seconds but are checked when ignition is in RUN mode. I believe that the settings update after 3 seconds to show only the status of options that are active when engine is not running for some of the settings and are actually saved for the last memory profile selected by door button memory 1 or 2 or key fob 1 or 2.
If settings are changed after selecting memory profile 1 (button on driver door), the changes are changed only for memory profile 1 (door button or key-fob). Settings need to be made independently for memory profile 1 and or 2.
I made the programming choices with IGN in OFF, for both memory profile 1 and 2, some check boxes went away but when looked at with engine running the changes were saved and showed the checked boxes. All appears 100% even with check marks going away for items not operational with engine not running.
Also, to link key fob to memory profile buttons on drivers door - - - with IGN in OFF, press "S" on door followed by 1 or 2, after a couple of seconds the speedometer display and UConnect display will have a message confirming settings are being saved for memory 1 or 2, while this message is displayed (it goes away after a few seconds), depress "LOCK" button on key fob that is to be linked to the vehicle memory 1 or 2.

I have noticed similar things with other settings. Some settings that didn't seem to be taking were behaving that way because of how I was making selections. One case was the night/day center stack display brightness settings. With more complicated technology comes a steeper learning curve. The first few days of ownership had some confusing moments, but patience has been paying off.

But its not new electronics, its been in the 300's and others for a model year or so. They have all the same tech and options and then some that our jeeps have. Not sure what the issue is, but I betcha it will get ironed out soon. Mine was built in early feb 13 and its fine.

Mine was built on April 6th, and it's working fine, although I don't have the Advanced Technology Group.

Mine went crazy again today. Forgot all of my Sirius PreSets, then the auto door locks were turned off. Not sure what else had changed b/c I didn't take the time to go through the rest of the menu. Not sure wtf could cause a problem like this to just happen OUT OF THE FREAKING BLUE!

On my Overland all the Adv Tech Settings are going wacko. Also option to show turn by turn directions in Evic will not stick. Gets reset every time.

Hope this is software and not hardware issue.

Did anybody found section in manual that will explain what all the SETTINGS mean? Also descriptions of all the NAV settings would be nice. I can figure out what show 3D buildings mean or show rivers but some of the other options are not straight forward.

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but turns showing in EVIC only show when you're close to the turn.

Every time I turn my car on the climate control is off. Every few days I lose all of my presets. I have only had the car two weeks and I love it but I am getting close to flipping out. I thought it might be a lose fuse but I checked and that wasn't the case.

I would still check yours- a lose fuse could easily be resetting everything when you hit a bump.

Auto headlights on mine are out of wack too. Turn on in very light shade and then wont shut off in direct sunlight go. Also, when starting up in my garage they come on and then never shut off. Just noticed this today. Not sure if it has been occurring at every garage start up or not.

Mine come on in the garage, or even on a cloudy day. I haven't checked the Jeep yet, but in the MDX there is a sensitivity setting in the EVIC.

I believe the display only shows check marks for functions that are active in a particular mode and saved for a particular driver memory (1 or 2 on door or from key fob). If you place a check mark with IGN in OFF, if that feature/function is not active for use in OFF, the check mark will go away when the screen is refreshed by UConnect (3 seconds) but will show as having a check mark in RUN. Also, if settings including radio presets for driver door or key fob 1 need to be set separate from 2 and/or settings saved prior to setting for driver door memory 1 or 2.

Possibly, some of the issues with check marks going away and settings changing can be due to Owner's Manuals not clearly describing how they show check marks only for what's available in a particular OFF/ACC/RUN IGN position and different for nothing saved for driver door 1 or 2 and for after saving driver door memory 1 and/or 2.

When programming settings in "OFF", some check marks also disappeared after 3 seconds but were checked in "RUN". I thought my Overland had the issues others described, but found that everything was 100% OK after figuring out what was going on.

Also, to quickly link key fob to settings memory 1 or 2, depress "S" on drivers door followed by either 1 or 2, after a couple of seconds the display will show "Saving settings to memory". While this text is displayed, depress "LOCK" on key fob and the fob will be linked to that memory setting.
