Re: Uconnect 8.4 verion 13.48.3 available

Hey all, first post here. Found this site a few days ago...seems like a solid community!

I got my Limited (black, V6, 20" 5 spokes, sunroof, 8.4AN) in September and have been anticipating Via Mobile ever since. I tried the update a couple weeks so but had the Akamai installer issue, so I called uconnect "support", and they recommended I swing by my dealer. I had a recall to have implemented as well, so they said they would update it. They did, but I'm only updated to 13.38.52 (kicking myself for not checking the version before I took it in).

Is anyone aware of changes I might benefit from in 13.48.3? I didn't have any backup camera issues, but nice in a while I would get a screen blackout or unresponsiveness though iCould still change stations. An issue also seems to be resolved where transferring a call to my phone used to leave the music on even after I shut the truck off and opened the door. I still have to check getting in while I'm on a call and connecting - it used to start playing music on my phone along with the phone call, and I couldn't even pause it on my iPhone.

Now that Pandora is "integrated" with Via Mobile, what do you all see? Honestly, I haven't played any of my music apps via Bluetooth because I don't want to use my phone while I drive, and my 64GB phone is packed with beats, so I don't know if it would have shown the track playing on Pandora simply by Bluetooth (yes, I will check myself today). But with my Pandora account linked, I'm still not seeing a Pandora icon in the store. How do you get it there?

I think I'll upgrade to 48.3 and see what that does...

You need to upgrade the firmware to the latest; then you'll see the apps.

You are correct. The apps will show up if you have installed 13.48.3.

I installed it early yesterday and my car sat outside all day. When I started it in my garage this morning there were no apps. When I backed out into my driveway 4 apps showed up, about a minute apart.

Funny, I just did the same thing you did and had the same results, apps showed up one by one a minute apart. Must need the GPS signal or something as I did have 3g in the garage but no GPS or Sat.

Re: Uconnect 8.4 verion 13.48.3 available

You need to press the apps key, go to the u connect store, and download the newest app package. Once you have the apps downloaded on the Uconnect, it can take a while for them to all show up. It took about an hour after the download to see mine. Then download the same apps on your phone - for the iPhone, go to the app store, and install iheart radio, pandora, slacker, and aha. Then log onto each one on your phone, and set up a free account. Remember your user names and passwords. Then go to the moparownerconnect.com, and log in. From there, under the Uconnect quick links, click on the setup mobile profile on the middle left, and link the mobile apps to your account. Lots of steps, but this should get them up and running. Don't forget to update your Uconnect software on the phone for the latest version for all of this to work.

Re: Uconnect 8.4 verion 13.48.3 available

Has anyone noticed the shuffle option not staying checked after the update? They fixed the problem in the previous update, but now it isn't staying on after shutting off and restarting my Jeep.

Thanks.

Re: Uconnect 8.4 verion 13.48.3 available

Any suggestions??? Downloaded the new update to my PC last night. Tried to install it today with USB flash drive and the radio just comes on. I tried this with two flash drives the 384 meg file is on them but for some reason the update on the screen won't start. I called U-Connect customer service and they couldn't help me. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it won't start the update process?
