40GB drive is in the previous model. Out of that 40GB you had only about 20GB to use as rest of the space was used by system ... You could not expend ... Honestly like the SD card approach.

If your significant other has different music taste than you get her different SD card and you can swap in and out.

Re: Uconnect Access for the 2014 is a GO!!

Let's call Vegas and find out what the over/under will be on the Mobile Media apps such as Pandora, aha and Slacker being available to use.

30 days? 60 days? 6 months? 1 year? never?

I'm obviously hoping sooner than later.

Re: Uconnect Access for the 2014 is a GO!!

To enable text messaging for iPhones
- On the phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Press the arrow to the right of the radio name you are connected to (Uconnect by default) and turn “Show Notifications” on.
- Text messages on the handset will not download to the vehicle system after connection, but will update as new messages are received. Again after reconnection they will not download.
- If new messages received are not indicated on the vehicle system, please disconnect and reconnect the handset in order for it to begin working properly.

re: SD Card. With a $5 USB card reader from Bigge Lottes my '12 plays from SD cards in the glove box just fine. Have a lot more flexibility in my tablet though.

Didn't bother waiting for MOPAR, just added my own.

That looks cool! What is your general view of the nav? I am arriving tomorrow from UK to live in Denver and test driving a 2014 limited on Monday. Nav is really important to me as I don't know the area very well so not sure whether to go for in car option or buy a free standing Garmin.
Thanks, Chris

I've used a Garmin for years, and was always leery of built-ins. But I must say I'm pleasantly surprised with the 8.4AN nav unit. I've been monkeying around with it for a few days now, and like very much it's functionality. Even on the back roads around the small burg I live in, it seems to know its way around. The turn map in the speedo is a really nice touch. The only downside I can think of might be updates, expensive and infrequent. I know some people have posted about many problems with the Uconnect in the '14, but I'm not seeing much in the way of problems. I see you're looking at a Limited, and the 8.4AN is an expensive upgrade on the Limited, especially when adding the nav, but if it's within your budget, I'd go for it.

Thanks that's really helpful. My partner has been living there for 9 months and has a Garmin which has been invaluable to her . Have to see what the deal is. Going with the Denver Group buy which James has arranged at $1750 under invoice with no dealer fees so may be able to run to 8.4AN upgrade.
Thanks again for sharing your experiences.
Chris

Re: Uconnect Access for the 2014 is a GO!!

Has any one had problems with the "Drop Pin" option on the navigation(8.4AN). I went to recent places and there is a "drop pin" option all the way to the right of the address. I have clicked this on numerous destination but they are not showing up on the map.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Re: Uconnect Access for the 2014 is a GO!!

I got my SRT yesterday and registered Uconnect this morning with no problems. Paired my Android Razr and it seems to re-connect automatically on entering the SRT. When registering with Uconnect the page for credit card info had a button on the bottom of the page that read "Skip Setting Up Payment Account". So I did.

I setup UConnect without a problem, haven't tried to use my phone to control the car yet. My phone pairs with the car automatically every time. My only gripe so far is that my phone isn't supported for text messaging... I would think the Google Nexus 4 would have been a shoe in for support, being latest OS available for Android, but the UConnect website confirms no text support, grr. I tried the navigation and love the in dash display and the graphic representation of the intersection on the main screen for complex highway intersections. I really love the speed limit warning, I have it set to announce the speed limit if I go ten mph over, awesome.

It looks like my husband's car may be classed as totaled due to water damage (doh!!), so we may be getting a second Summit in red. Three Jeeps in the driveway would be hella cool!

Re: Uconnect Access for the 2014 is a GO!!

Had veh for 3 wks and no problems. Registered Uconnect 2 days ago and now have reboots while driving, screen freezes, loss of radio signal to Sirius and who knows what else! Sucks.
