Photo is also of the driver's side. Passenger side looks much more aligned, just like the OP.

...

Chalk another one up for the QC crew letting it slide.
Yep, Chrysler Quality Control at their best. Problem is, and this is what Chrysler relies on, most people don't notice it. So nothing gets realigned at the plant and it never gets corrected.

Super stoked that I'm paying for that kind of service.

That would draw the line for me right there. Have you complained about it to your dealer yet?

Re: Ugh, just noticed hatch misalignment?

The dealer had no problem fixing it since it's a warranty issue. Problem is that anytime you give the car to someone to work on it, especially a body shop, it's never the same when you get it back. It pissed me off the first few days but don't look anymore. Now, once I get the 1st ding or scratch.....

Re: Ugh, just noticed hatch misalignment?

Has anybody noticed the lift-gate glass sitting proud from the metal work at the top on the left compared with the right? Mine's about 1/8 inch higher. I've had the car 4 months, and only just noticed. It's this forum's fault ... didn't think to check until I read this!

Re: Ugh, just noticed hatch misalignment?

This thread prompted me to get check mine and what do ya know, i've got a little misalignment on the right side. I hate you guys, lol.

In all seriousness not a big deal to me. I probably won't look at it again.

Re: Ugh, just noticed hatch misalignment?

I see that my old thread has been resurrected lol.

Almost a year later I don't even care about what I posted when I started this thread. In fact, I had completely forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

Nor would I have ever noticed mine, if it weren't for this thread being created.

So really, THANK YOU!

Re: Ugh, just noticed hatch misalignment?

Mine's a 2012 V6 diesel. In fact most of the panels are fitted well (within the gap spec published by jeep). The problem is that the more time I spend on this forum, the more time I look for faults in my jeep ... and when all is said and done, it's just a bloody car! Although I do have OCD tendancies ... so I keep looking ... and finding all the faults ... God, I hate myself sometimes!!!!

A 2012 V6 Diesel? Might want to re-check that.
