Unknown Additional Storage Spots

So, my favorite insulated coffee cup was MIA for a few days and I could have sworn that i had left it behind drivers seat on the reat passenger floor. I finally took a closer look last evening, and, lo & behold, it had rolled under the passenger seat. I never realized that the lower fronts of the rear passenger seats did not come fully down to the floor.

There is some very useable hidden storage space underneath the rear passenger seats to store small packages such as cameras, laptops, etc.

If there are any similar hidden storage spaces, I would appreciate direction to them.

Just imagine what you can do with all that storage/floor space:

Re: Unknown Additional Storage Spots

My '03 Liberty has the same storage underneath the rear seats. There's a even a nice little "hump" so that items can't roll out (or in). Chrysler placed the storage for the Liberty's jack here, too, on the passenger side. I keep jumper cables and a tow strap in this area.

The hump is what caught my coffee mug.

If you have the Laredo or the Limited with out the Air cooling seats. There is a hidden compartment under the drivers seat (passenger side has the battery) that is really nice to hide things in like a small lap top , ipad or cell phone in.

This is a useful thing to know but there are a couple of drawbacks. The size of the space gets smaller as the seats are folded down and it can crush stuff and/or prevent folding the seats down. I also found that it didn't work for my atlases very well because the tilt caused them to fall forward on to the floor all the time.

I keep forgetting to load my printed atlases but when I carry them, I always put them in the pocket behind the front passenger seat. Very easy to grab while you're at the wheel.
