Re: Upgrading to '16 from a '14 - Hemi worth it?

Took delivery of our '16 GC Summit almost 2 weeks ago. Granite Chrystal, Black interior. V-6L. This is our 3rd Summit ('12, '14 and now a '16)
As far as driving goes, any difference in power is hardly noticeable. Tires are now Perelli Scorpions.
There is a button on the dash that must be pushed on every start up to override the engine shut down feature. Was told by the selling dealer that there will be software maybe this June that will allow them to disable this function. That way there will be no need to deactivate on every star up.
This is my wife's vehicle and for her, the V-6 provides enough power and a little better gas mileage on her commute.

Did they learn nothing from the fiasco with the eco button not remembering last setting. Maybe June they might have a software fix to keep the start stop feature turned off?

That would drive me nuts...it's one of the things I was looking at because I hate ESS in any form. As it is, I had times where I didn't remember to turn off Eco on mine and could tell as soon as I started accelerating.

All that said...I ordered my '16 on Friday! Limited 75th Anniversary Edition, Crystal Granite with the black interior. 75th Anniversary Lux package. ORA-II and RA4....and the Hemi

So no notice in difference of handling from your 2014? With better tires, a new electric power steering system and lighter suspension components I'm guessing there's something to be noticed in on road manners. Hopefully you can report back with some good feedback for me btw congrats on another Summit! They are awesome!!
