Urgent Recall Letter from Dealer

I got a letter in the mail from the dealer that serviced my '14 JGC. Urgent was hand written across the envelope in orange marker. The letter itself is hand signed by the service manager.

It says that they determined that some recall work they had done might not have been done correctly. If I mention Recall #57 when I call they will expedite a repair. Since when I called to let them know (again) that I no longer have the car, the service writer I spoke to couldn't tell me what reall # 57 is. If it is the visor recall, their records are really messed up because I never had it done.

Anybody know?

Interesting... the only thing I could find was the P57 recall issued for the FOBIK's on 2008 GC's.

Re: Urgent Recall Letter from Dealer

yeah, it "appears" to be situation where they issued the second recall but did not officially list the '14 but check this it might help explain, or might not

It appears to be. It had the dealership phone number and address. It just said to call for an appointment. It's a small family owned dealership with an excellent reputation.

It shouldn't be too long before my '17 Ivory Summit is getting recalled. I am really anxious to see that color on a GC.

Re: Urgent Recall Letter from Dealer

A hand written Urgent ?? Seems bogus to me. If it was really urgent wouldn't they just call? Everyone has voicemail.

I think other manufacturers approach this a bit
differently....and call it R & D!
