I've been in the market some time and now ready to purchase a 2014+ used WK2. I've been searching for the last 6 months while I've been waiting for VW Dieselgate to wrap up (my buyback is scheduled for 03/04/17). I've noticed 2014 laredos with ~30k miles that were listed for $20k are now listed for $23-24k and Limited that were listed for $24k are now listed for $26k. Is it because we are in winter months (i.e. should I push my buyback out to get a better deal)?
Trucks and SUV's are more popular in the winter months, at least here, than in other months. Snow on the ground, I hear, is the best time to buy a convertible though!
Yeah in general you'll see your best deals on used 4x4's in April and May as people start taking their toys out of the garage. Occasionally you'll see some good deals on new models or new last years models during the presidents day sale though. Around 4 years ago I bought an 02 5.9L 4x4 Durango with 80K on it for $6,000 in mid may.
Take it easy
