When you get your Blendmount installed could you post some pics? I want to do the same thing, but it don't look to me like it will fit the Overland mirror w/the tapered shaft and very little clearance. Hope I am wrong!! Thanks.
Will do! I did kinda do a test install to see if it would fit before I got excited, looked for mirror wiring diagrams, and then got around to installing and it doesn't work. While it is a tight fit, it does fit perfectly with about an inch to play with to choose the distance you want from the mirror.

But I will make a thread once its on!

Re: Valentine 1 Hardwire

also - what length is everyone ordering: 8" or 12"? i'm tempted to go with the 12" just to be sure that i'll have enough... (queue the "bigger is better" jokes)

Re: Valentine 1 Hardwire

Once I pick up my Jeep, hopefully on Friday, I will look at the plugs on the back of the mirror and will then order an Invisicord and post up pics and info.

Re: Valentine 1 Hardwire

Nice. I've seen these built right into the mirror itself! Very cool.

Re: Valentine 1 Hardwire

Just got my Blendmount and invisicord power tap. I took a trip up to NYC last week and used the suction cups setting it up behind the mirror which placed the Valentine 1 close to where the Blendmount would go. Got good vis front and rear for the unit and it didn't block my vision at all. Waiting for warmer weather, no garage. I'll take pics and if i don't see another thread with similar info/pics I'll post.

Do you know what size body and collar you got by chance? I posted pics of mine (linked two posts above yours) and also sent them to BlendMount as request by them.

BlendMount is sending me a shorter body to take up the gap between the top of the V1 and bottom of mirror. They sent me a 2.00" long body originally and now having me try a 1.575" Body. There is also a shorter collar available that will take up another 0.250" but doesn't look like that will clear the angle of the mirror.

I will post new pictures in my thread to show the difference once I get that shorter body.

Re: Valentine 1 Hardwire

I took a look at the install instructions and it says it is a BV1-2000 w/ long collar. I also got a note asking me to send pics of the install to them and that they will improve it if they can.

Sounds like the same model I got originally. I would ask for that shorter body to bring that gap up.
