All I gotta say.

Wanna know what I really can't stand? People who valet their cars and don't tell you about their kill switches!!!!!

What are we supposed to do with the 2011's just hand them the wireless key FOB with our other keys attached? Or maybe people don't attach any other keys to the FOB, I don't know. Just curious what other people are doing, and how they are handling the issue?
Most of our customers just give us all of their keys, which we don't mind, but occasionally yes, we get that one customer that gives us the FOBIK, and only the FOBIK. When asked why they do that, they say "It's bad enough ya'll 'bout to drive my car wherever the *censored* ya'll want, I don't want you going in my house too!"

Gotta love valet customers.

From order to delivery to dealer, 6 weeks. They told me 3 to 4 months when I ordered.

Maybe you should start wearing the supplied red vest instead of that Hell's Angels one!

How many movies have we watched lately that the guy throws the keys to someone they think is the valet, and then the vehicle speeds down the road? Ingrains the paranoia!

Re: Valet parking

The push button cover comes out of the ignition with your fingernail - some folks feel more secure using the keyfob to "start" the car. Did you also see the video on youtube starting a jeep with a finger? LOL My dealer alos pointed out the "Valet" option by removing the fob from the internal key.

Re: Valet parking

I start mine with a finger too.

In my case, just gotta have the key close to the ignition, and it can then be taken away from the vicinity.

Oh, in addition:

1. I know to push down on your Volkswagen's shifter to put it in reverse.
2. I'm aware that your Aston Martin has a push button automatic.
3. YES I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A MASERATI!
4. NO I DO NOT want to see payroll checks you haven't cashed yet, put those away!!!! (Had a consistent customer a few years back, drove a Durango, left several uncashed payroll checks sitting right there on her console, in the amount of thousands of dollars, for weeks before they got cashed!!!!)

Re: Valet parking

+1 gotta luv valet customers.

Saw in another thread somewhere the idea of having a valet mode with speed limiter (akin to a limp mode).

No offense, but whatever valet you chuck your JGC keys to just parked a much more expensive and complex rig, or will do so shortly after parking yours. They'll also pick that other rig for joyriding.

Re: Valet parking

Not necessarily. There have been days where the most expensive thing I drove was a JGC, and got stiffed too.

The Kia driver gave me $5.
