Hummmmmm Jeep has been blowing smoke up that same area when it comes to my tires and my radio....

Re: Ventilated seats

It's like little icy fingers tickling my naughty bits -- what could be wrong with that?

BTW, mine definitely feel cold even if the climate control is OFF.

Funny, when I leave the ventilated seat controls on high and then turn the car off, the seats are off the next time I start the car??

Note that Candy Girl mentioned the seat ventilation system turns on when she uses the remote start feature. The "Remote Start Comfort System" is activated by the EVIC menu.

According to the manual, pg. 32, if set to on, the seat ventilation system should come on automatically if it is warm when you use remote start. The manual also seems to indicate the ventilation will turn off once you push the start button, but I don't recall if that actually happens.

Moose - you will go where others fear to tread ....

Meanwhile ... it would be nice if my JGC remembered the seat vent settings. After all, it remembers the A/C settings, and these days I always have the A/C on.

Re: Ventilated seats

I had my drive seat bottom replaced yesterday and noticed quality of leather is little better than the original one.

Re: Ventilated seats

Resurrecting this old thread

Got a question about what is underneath the leather on these seats? Reason I ask is I had something kind of sharp but small that poked through the vent holes and I hear some type of a popping sound like poking a hole through fabric. Is there just more material in there or might I have punctured some sort of air passage way?

Thanks.

They come on for me if selected in settings when temp is 80* or more but they will only come on in the "low" setting so they might as well be off as you need to manually select Hi anyway to get any air flow!. Another bad joke by Chrysler!

Yea.. I think the ventilated seats are a gimmick more than anything. On high you can barely feel any air which is about the same as it was on my 2011 Durango. Even if it does work it only blows ambient air.. There isn't a ac duct tied to your ass or anything .. Unfortunately.. :-D

Re: Ventilated seats

The vented seats do not blow air up your butt. The air from the cabin is sucked through the holes in the seat and discharged under the seat toward the rear. It drawers the air from the cabin, which if the A/C is on should be cooled.

I actually find they work pretty well. Depending on what you are wearing you will feel it more or less. And yes it pulls air from where you are sitting down through the cushion to the floor.
