Virginia - 2014 Grand Cherokee Lemon Law letter

I no longer own the 2014 Overland as I traded it about two years ago given all the problems I had with it. That being said, out of the blue I recieved a letter last evening from a law firm out of Virginia Beach. The website can be found at www.jeep-problems.org. Not sure this topic has been covered but I may give them a call and see if I have a case even though I sold it and find out what this is all about. I did however, get back into a 2015 Overland recently and have had zero problems so far. I dont' have the letter with me today but the website should give most information. Sharing this because I found it very interesting I recived such a letter. Seems this firm represents many different states.

Thanks for the heads up...I think I'll give them a call and ask if they can do anything for Mass owners!

My axe to grind with Chrysler/Jeep is a big one!

Just curious, which drive train(engine) did you have?

I recieved the same letter today. Mine is an early 2014 with v8. I had a lot of more minor issues that over time were resolved with software and all is fine now. Too many of them but i consider that i got off easy compared to the trans issues the v6 people are having. I would not have put up with that in addition to the multitude of minor issues i had.

Just to add on the 3 year old map situation for the nav is getting ridiculous and a brewing issue if it goes on much longer

Pretty soon you'll see another one of those ambulance chasing law firm commercials on TV for it.

Re: Virginia - 2014 Grand Cherokee Lemon Law letter

I clicked that link, got onto the web site, entered my personal information...and within three hours I got a call from a Massachuestts attorney.

In my State the grace period of ownership for "Lemon Law" is within one year, so I sent pdf's of the information she requested (P&S, Registration, dealership work orders), and was told I'd be contacted again within 2 to 3 business days to see if I qualify. All of this is free BTW, and I would get to keep 100% of whatever I'm awarded from Chrysler/Jeep.

I hope what you say is true and there is no skethyness. I can't imagine some lawyer being that good-hearted and not taking a dime. Perhaps google them and check reviews to see if this is accurate.

Don't get me wrong...they're getting paid alright...by a separate fee they charge Chrysler/Jeep. I don't pay a dime either way.

I like this system because this way Chrysler/jeep pays even MORE money in total if I win. They (Chrysler) should have settled with me when they had the chance.

Screw'em...I hope a Class-action suit gets slapped on them over this POS V6 transmission.

Re: Virginia - 2014 Grand Cherokee Lemon Law letter

Just found out Friday that my Lemon Law case was accepted by the attorney's office here in Massachusetts. They sent me the Representation agreement via email, I printed it out, dated & signed it, then faxed it back to them.

Things I found of interest is claims like these are submitted directly to the manufacturer (Chrysler/Jeep) through a pre-suit process...hence an actual "lawsuit" is not filed. Another is the office's typical attorney fees are $4,000...charged directly to Chrysler separately...and which is contingent upon an acceptable settlement of the offer from Chrysler by me and me alone. "In the event an acceptable settlement is not achieved, you will not owe the Law Firm anything."

What do I have to lose...right?

I bet you'll be amazed at the change of attitude that brings from Chrysler.
