Re: Want to buy 2014 GC Need Help

This dealer seems sketchy. Can you go to another?

Yes, in fact my wife and I were just discussing how we would not feel right doing business with them even if it were a great deal. There are about 4 other dealerships within 30 miles of my house so I think I will be sending them emails about the Jeep I am looking for. I may be able to get a good enough deal to where I can just buy instead of lease. Hopefully the other dealerships will be a little easier to deal with. I will keep you guys updated as I start to get offers from dealerships. It really is helpful having all of you to go to with my questions.

The email option is great, without burning gas you can get a better basis of comparison from different dealers once you outline what you're looking for in your emails to them, don't give away too many of your aces but definately compare deals from home.

It must be a NJ-NY area thing, but good luck getting any price quotes via email here. All of them want you to call or show up in the dealership.

Well you said they are giving you ,$11,000 for your Lex and you owe $13,000 so that really is a problem since they have to pay that $13,000 off, also it looks like with your out of pocket money going into the payments,if you were to put down lets say $1600 out of pocket without your trade in than your payment would be somewhere in $415....

They are screwing you unless your credit is really bad. I had a lease that still had $3,000 in payments left. I put $3,000 down to cover that. So basically nothing on the Jeep. Mine was a '14 Limited with nav, sunroof and 20" wheels. The sticker was $42,000+. My lease is 39 months, 12,000 miles and $475 a month. The $2,000 you are putting down should wash out the Lexus. Nothing down on a $31,000 Laredo should be in the $350 range.

Re: Want to buy 2014 GC Need Help

Ok so here is the newest update guys. The following is email from the dealer:
1. The Residual is: 18912.60
2. LMF rate, which is : .00112
3. The acquistion fees was changed to 0.00, which lowers your monthly payment. The new monthly payment is: $429.53
4. The Money factor is the same as the LMF
5. The invoive price for the Jeep is: $31,901.00

I put all the numbers in the ridewithg.com calculator and this is what it says

REQUIRED

33180 MSRP
31000 Sale Price
0 Fees Rolled In
36 Term (in months)
57 % Residual
.00112 Money Factor
8.75 % Sales Tax
12000 Miles Per Year

DETAILS

6.57 % off MSRP
2.68 % Interest Rate
31000 Adj Cap Cost
18912.6 Purchase Option
335.76 Depreciation

55.902 Rent Charge
2012.47 Total Rent Charge

PAYMENTS

391.66 Base Payment
425.93 Base + Tax
425.93 Base + Tax + Fees

81.96 RwG DEAL RATING

90+ = GREAT!

Any idea on how I can get that to a 90+?

They have not checked my credit yet, but my wife and I have good credit scores.

That is a terrible terrible money factor. You need to ask for the baseline money factor.

For example my mf on my jeep leased in April was 0.00009583333

Re: Want to buy 2014 GC Need Help

The MF is historically quite high on the Laredo. The selling price is too high to be a good deal.
