Re: Want to CRY with me?
This morning I went out to my car and found a foot long crack in the windshield! I must have taken a rock hit because there is a very small chip in the window, which seems to have started the crack. In 17.5 years with my old Grand Cherokee nothing like this ever happened, and my 2011 takes a hit in the first few months. Are windshields too thin and fragile these days?
Had my windshield replaced today ... ouch$. The dealer said that since the vehicle is so new there is only Mopar/OEM replacements. And it seems that low hits on the windshield are causing cracks, whereas higher up the windshield is faring better.
