I am a Florida resident, purchased my Overland in Illinois with the lifetime warranty, but had it titled in Florida from the date of sale. I was under the impression that doing so I was able to transfer to a new owner without issues. Is this not correct?

Re: Warranty info

Is that 10,000 or 100,000? I use progressive and they maintain the exact warrenty as jeep offers. The one I got was 7 yr 100,000 for 1250ish I believe. However, costumer affairs rated all after market warrenty companies see below

Re: Warranty info

It's 100,000 I just would feel safer with a mopar warranty. I think it's just me but my last car the A/C compressor went and six months down the line and over twelve thousand miles it took a dump and I was told your warranty company did not approve ford parts so it's on you. If it was a genuine part it would have been covered for two years. Just my luck I hope I don't get screwed on this deal. Oh and thanks for the reviews.

Re: Warranty info

I understand that, it's shitty that they did that to you. That's the reason I went with progressive, I made sure that any part failure was cover whether it was stock or aftermarket. They said as long as a certified mechanic put it on it was covered. Also their the only ones who would cover soft top wear and tear. You're welcome.

Re: Warranty info

The sad part is I bought my last car used with 12,000 miles on it purchased a 100,000 warranty and had all services at the dealer I bought it from. I figured that it would be done with all genuine parts. Nope that's why I asked and that's why I went with the maxx care. So in the long run I won't deal with that BS I hope.

Re: Warranty info

Ziegler Jeep just sold me a Mopar Max Care 7 yr./100K warranty for $1895 (incl. 10% down w/ affordable one year financing)
My 2014 Grand Cherokee Ltd after one year and 15K has been absolutely trouble free , but $1895 is well worth the piece of mind and at resale, it is transferable . (A great selling point).

Re: Warranty info

IMO go with Ziegler and get the official Mopar coverage. If peace of mind is what you are looking for then go with what you are most comfortable with. Many people on this site have purchased and used Mopar MaxCare and have been very happy with it.

I've been in a Jeep since '11 and while I love both I've had a lot of little stuff pops up based on all the bells and whistles. It's nice to just take it to any dealer you like without having to worry about the scope of work. Make sure you call them first (if you go with Ziegler) and ask for their promo code. When I called it was good for $75. I can't remember my exact price but I bought a 7yr/100,000 for my certified 2014 with 27,000 miles for around $1700.

Re: Warranty info

I was able to get MaxCare Lifetime service contract on my new 2015 Limited at the time of purchase through my dealer for $2135 + $149 tax (for the $200 deductible plan). I thought that was pretty good deal. I also took advantage of 0% financing for 60 months and they rolled the cost of the service contract into my payments. No up front costs; gotta love 0%.

Dealer is Lilliston Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Millville NJ if anyone is interested.
