Water fording

Does anyone know of how much water the wk2 can go through. I think jeep says 20 inches but with this storm coming my area that I live in floods and wondering if my wk2 can go through deeper water. I know to be careful about the intake and to keep an eye on the doors from taking on water. Anything with the EPs I should be worried about this is my first eps vehicle. Thanks guys

Re: Water fording

I would say Yay. Had no issue in roughly 22". Make certain to keep slow steady momentum to make a small wave around the vehicle. Doing so will keep the water level around the car a little lower as long as you maintain the speed all the way through.

You should be fine until you run over that piece of broken up wooden dock with the 6" nail in it.

Re: Water fording

I am not sure how deep my Jeep was but I had half of the hood submerged at the Outer Banks last year. The puddle was a little deeper than expected. It pulled through just fine and even though the air intake by the hood was under water, the filter was still dry. It is a good design. I wouldn't worry about it.
