Re: Water pump already ?

First they gave me a Jeep Patriot that I drove for 3 weeks that didn't even come with an antenna so no radio in that. They now have me in a Dodge Journey with no blue tooth, no back up camera, and I hate the way it drives. Not sure what to do at this point, but I'm not happy with waiting until September for the part, that seems a bit ridiculous.

well at least they have you in a loaner but for 2+ months is not acceptable. Call Jeep corporate and file a complaint and get a case opened.

Yes, luckily I do have a rental car. Good idea to call corporate. Doubt they will care, but might as well try. My sister has the exact same Jeep as mine that has been to the dealership over 15 times for a faulty back up camera and they have yet to properly fix it and corporate has been involved with the issue. Not sure why they are so incompetent.

yes definitely file a case with Jeep corporate and empathize that not having your jeep for 2+ months over a water pump is completely unacceptable and that you want this escalated.

Dealer fixed the jeep, replaced water pump, lower hose and thermostat, said some type of scaring or defect on the thermostat.

Re: Water pump already ?

I had to go to the dealership yesterday to get something out of my car and when the guy took me over to it I saw they have left all the windows down for the last 27 days that it has been sitting outside. I keep my car very clean and I'm very particular about the inside of my car. The entire inside is covered in a layer of dust/dirt and looks disgusting. I saw something in the little pocket on the door panel and ended up pulling out a huge dried beetle. I asked the guy if they leave everyone's car windows down and he just answered "no". So I asked why are mine down? Instead of offering to get the keys to roll them up he just said he would let my service advisor know on Monday. What would you guys do in my situation? Is it not a big deal since the car can be cleaned or would you be frustrated seeing your car so dirty inside when that's not how you gave it to them?

My 2012 GC Hemi is in the shop now for a failed water pump. 44k on the Jeep. Dealer says no parts available. No telling when it will be fixed. Bummer!!!

Re: Water pump already ?

Hopefully you get your car back soon. They told me September for my car, but I got it back last week. I'm having a baby any day now, so they did know I needed my car back ASAP and I did have to file a case.

Water pump already ?

You should have started a case with customer care after week one of the "back ordered" routine the dealer gave you. Have them call the dealer directly to get a documented interaction on file. Your case manager can also get you free oil changes or other small things to help ease the pain.

Lastly I strongly recommend you document everything as far as updates about the part, conversations you have, dates, etc... It can be very useful if in another month your jeep is still not repaired.

Good luck!

Re: Water pump already ?

I would be snapping if it was even a month wait. Anything over 6 weeks i would be on them to give me another JGC until i get mine back. I wouldn't want some Patriot or any other Jeep product.

3 month wait? I would tell them to keep it and trade it in probably lol
