Weathertech

Any word on weather Weathertech will be making the slush mats (softer rubber) for the WK2? I was about to order the Weathertech digitalfit mats (the harder rubber) but figured I'd wait. I emailed WT but no response yet.

Re: Waethertech

I can't speak for the mats, but I'm loving the digital fit liners. I highly recommend them. I just wish the dead pedal area was covered more.

Thanks for responding. The dead pedal area, are you referring to the left foor rest area? Also, is the rubber hard or plyable like slush mats? Thanks.

Yes the left foot rest. It's only half covered with the digital fit liners.

They are not like slush mats, they are a custom fit hard plastic liners. What I love about that is they don't move around and don't leak.

Re: Waethertech

husky's cover the dead pedal area, and have a recess for the hooks so water doesnt penetrate and awesome rubber points on the bottom, they dont budge!!

Re: Waethertech

Another great thing about the Wethertech mats is that they are easier to clean and less pourus than the rubbery, kind of eraser like Jeep mats. These are the best mats I have ever had.

Re: Weathertech

I'm leaning towards the digitfit Weathertechs in black for the front and the OEM gargo mat from the dealership. My luck, Weathertech will annonce the WK2 slush mats soon after.

Re: Weathertech

I have OEM slush mats front and rear and OEM cargo mat. Slush mats performed fine. Cargo mat is still in the back and has worked great for hauling 750 lbs of wet bags of top soil and wet bags of mulch.

I have that exact same setup. Black front digital fit liners, Jeep cargo mat.

Liners are better than mats in my opinion, they cover more and have a lip all around which prevent spillage. Liners > Mats.

+1 here. I had slush mats on my old SUV and at the end of winter there would be a nice crusty ring of salt around the outside of the mat on the carpet that would require cleaning. This winter I had the liners in the Jeep and they covered pretty much everything but the pedals. No carpet cleaning required. Admittedly I was aware they didn't cover the foot rest area well and kept my left foot placed flat on the floor to avoid messing the carpet, but still... much better than the mats.
