Weird test drive tonight ACC buttons with no sensor in front
One of the local dealers called this afternoon all excited that he just came across one with all the features I wanted. I dropped in after work and we were out on the road ...
For the life of both of us, we could not figure out how to get the adaptive cruise control to turn on and work. We kept pressing the ACC buttons with all sorts of combinations, we pulled off to the side of the road and went into the vehicle setup in the EVIC trying to see if it was disabled somehow, etc.
Finally, after driving up the freeway and taking an exit, we pulled off to the side of the road and the sales guy looked under the hood to see if the fuse was seated properly. He was smart enough to look at the front bumper only to find out that it didn't have the sensor at all. WEIRD!
Anyone else ever seen a GC with the ACC buttons in the steering wheel without actually having the ACC package? Does this mean it could be added later? Seems like this has to be some sort of mistake by the factory ... they are intentionally teasing me now.
