I have a set of 13 overland wh.& tires i might unload only 500 miles.on tires.

If this were mine I would get the Mopar Tire and Wheel protection plan. No one needs to know when or how you damaged the wheel. The plan is very inexpensive and will replace the wheel. Check out Zeigler's to purchase it.

What you are suggesting is insurance fraud. I'd probably avoid that route.

Spend $125. and have the rim resurfaced by a professional. They do it all the time. Less headache and you feel better in the process! Looks as good as new.

This is the best answer. I got it done for $100. Perfect repair and color match.
