Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

2007 GMC Yukon SLT. Great vehicle, no trouble in the 5+ years we owned it. I feel like my new GC gives me almost as much room in the second row and handles much better around town. Surprisingly, I am getting about 1.5 mpg better (mostly city driving, hemi) so far with about 400 miles on the odometer.

Getting rid of my 2002 Volkswagen GTI VR6. I've had it since I was 18, and it was a fun little car, but it's on its last leg. I pick up my 2012 Mineral Gray V8 Overland tomorrow. Time for a "grown-up" car.

2005 Crown Vic

I loved that car. Luckilly, I can still drive it whenever I want. My mother in law needed a car so we gave it to her and bought the new Jeep.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

I traded an 08 Avalanche Z71 4x4 with everything which was at the end of its lease term, unfortunately. I miss it this is a great truck and it never broke down.

I enjoy the looks and performance of the GC very much. But no one should expect the V6 to be as miserly as the publicity claims. It requires nearly as much gas as the Avalanche needed.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

2010 BMW M3 Coupe.

I will miss the sound of the V8 engine at 8,000 rpm's. I had a 2000 WJ Limited V8 that I kept for 6 years. The longest I have ever kept any vehicle. I miss having a Jeep, so it's time for a change. I'm sure I'll love the new WK2 Overland V8 once it arrives.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Traded in my 2011 BMW M3 Sedan. Will be sorely missed, the best car I ever owned But loving the Jeep so far. Just wish the V6 had a little more grunt.. but didn't want worse MPG then the M3 so I didn't get the V8 in the Jeep... gotta pay to play I guess.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Traded '05 Grand Cherokee limited with 160,000 relative trouble free miles. Had '99 limited and '95 limited both with over 145k. My new '11 seems to be better all the way around & I didn't think I could like a car more than my '05.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

I traded my 08 Grand Cherokee Limited, with the 4.7 V8, which was my third Grand Cherokee for something that was better on gas, a 10 Subaru Outback. It was a fresh redesign, and I ordered the Limited with the 3.6 H6. It's been a fine vehicle. Gets me about 23 in mixed driving, great in the snow with stock rubber, and is fairly comfortable and quiet. But, I never fell in love with the vehicle. Sure, it did everything OK, but had no "spark". So it's back to the Jeep for me, hopefully there's no hard feelings...
