I was driving a 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo until an 87 year old man t-boned me in an intersection just over a year ago. I really loved that Jeep! It had about 250,000 kms on it but was still going strong; I’d still probably be driving it if that incident never happened. I attached a picture of my Jeep and his car. Both our vehicles were totalled even though there looks like minimal damage to my Jeep; the support pillar was bent.
At that time, I was doing a chemical engineering practicum about 90 minutes outside the city, so I needed a vehicle bad. I basically had a weekend to pick out a new vehicle and there were no decent used Grand Cherokees in Edmonton. So I saw this ’08 Liberty with very low mileage and bought that. I used it for a year until I graduated from college and actually quite enjoyed it. The Liberty just hit 40,000 kms and was 4 years old, so since it was in a good spot yet, I traded that in for my 5.7L Overland.
Though I miss my original Jeep, the Overland numbs the pain quite a bit
