Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

2005 Pontiac GTO

Finally I have a vehicle for trips to Tahoe (snowboarding) and towing my race cars to the track!

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

I think "dumping" is kind of a harsh word, as I wish there was a way to keep my old and the new car.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Seems appropriate to put this here following another M owner. My first car - 98 M3 Sedan. Sad to see it go but it was good for the 9 years we spent together...

Had a 2008 JGC S-Limited Diesel traded that in for a 2009 RAM 2500 6.7L Diesel traded that in for the 2012 Overland and traded the wife's 2011 Journey in for the 2012 SRT8

Matt, great car (the M coupe) and beautiful background. Did you trade it in or private sell? The JGC would've been a good compliment to the M.

I am going opposite and selling my JGC Overland as I have ordered a MY13 M3 coupe tied to PCD. The "tail" is on my list of drives.

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Sold (to private seller) my 2006 Evo IX RS, which I owned for all 6 years and having had it paid off just a few weeks prior to the sale. For all its manual-window, manual-lock, lack of sound deadening and poor gas mileage, I still miss it a lot. Don't regret getting the GC at all, but I agree that dump is a harsh word. Allowing the Evo to go was basically giving up my single days as I bought the car when I was younger and less married lol.

Thank you. I really enjoyed the car. If I was in the position to keep it, it would have stayed in my garage along with the new WK2. I ended up selling the car to Carmax, they gave me a fantastic price. I asked two Jeep dealers for a trade quote, but they were off by $5k.

As for Deels Gap, avoid the weekends, or any time group rides are planned by any clubs. There will be too many cops for any fun.

Have fun with your new M3!

Re: What car are you dumping to make room for your WK2?

Traded in a 2010 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited.
Great AWD performance sedan (and fun in the snow), but when you have a bulged disc in your back getting in and out of the car is just too painful (sucks getting old).
At 6'3" it's just so much easier to get into the GC.
