Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Gloss black vinyl wrap was tossed on the window trim today. Was told to let it sit for ~1 week to allow it to set - guess the jeep stays dirty for a bit!

Also got a quote for the door handles to be replaced with the color match white ones. That's my next project in the next 2-3 weeks, schedule permitting.

I use them to get higher quality music into my computer than you'll ever get from I-Tunes or Amazon.

Then I put them in my closet....

Actually, I used to DJ parties and school dances years ago, so I've collected quite a few....hundred...

Some, I'm not so proud of (purchased out of necessity), but I was young...I was in school...I needed the money....

To try and avoid rattling I put double sided tape between the plate and frame and I also put 3 clear bump stops behind the plate so the bottom doesn't rub up against the paint

Anybody drill holes at the bottom?

I did similar to you. I riveted the plate to the holder and also put rubber bumpers on so it wouldn't rub.

I changed it up yesterday. I went to the auto parts store and found the anti-rattle kit for plates and I was able to get rid of the double sided tape. I tried taking off the bump stops but they were on there pretty good so i just left them.

The kit worked out really good.

The odd thing about the packaging was that on the back there's a warning that the product contains something that may cause cancer in the state of CA?? I just want to keep my plate in place i live in TX but how would it only affect one state lol

I live in California and you learn to forget that the cancer warnings are on entrance of every place you do business from Hallmark cards to McDonald's.

Works great too. Reception is exactly the same and the paint matches.
Did your MPGs go up too due to less wind resistance? Wink 😉

All kidding aside, that's a gorgeous color.
