Yesterday I painted the Mopar tow hooks the trailhawk red color, and this morning I installed them.
Just finished here.
Pulled out into the street. Here you can see my wife's '14 Cherokee in the background.
Very easy install. I mean, IF you don't follow the included directions. I used to work heavy collision in the auto body field and stuff like this is second nature to me.
Anyone installing this kit, there is a lot of bare unprotected metal in it. Anything in the kit that isn't black, and isn't a bolt or a nut (bolts and nuts seem to have a galvinized protective coating on them) is prone to rusting. Clean all parts with isopropyl alcohol and paint them with krylon or rustoleum. preferably black to match the bumper reinforcement or unibody frame rails and brackets. DONT LEAVE THESE BARE or you will regret it later while it all rusts.
Anyone have any specific questions about the install, please don't hesitate to ask.
