Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Finished installing my interior LED lights. Just needed the trunk lights. Fought part was putting bulb socket back in place.

After a beer or 2, was able to get it in and put everything back together.

This is what I am going to miss the most with owning a mainstream brand instead of a luxury brand. With my Infiniti, I always get an Infiniti loaner, sometimes a $70k QX80. It'd be fine if I still had a second car, though it is still stuck in the back of my mind again for the future.

It's amusing you can buy a $35k Infiniti Q50 or Lexus IS250 and get a nice loaner, but nothing with a $60-75k American mainstream brand.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Personally, I couldn't care less what type of loaner car my dealer gives me if my vehicle is laid up for repair, I appreciate the transportation. As long as it gets me where I need to go when I need to go, it's fine. It beats walking or hitching a ride.

I agree, I wouldn't base my decision in buying a vehicle on the type of loaner car I would receive. Sure it's nice but I can live without.

I think my point is more that if a dealer offers a loaner, it should at least be of the same brand. But, I also think it is ludicrous that simply buying a luxury brand--even base models--entitles you to a nice loaner whereas you can spend 2x as much on a mainstream brand and be placed in an economy car, if you are even fortunate enough to be offered a loaner.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

That's the one thing I miss after moving from Acura to Jeep was the amazing service. Yes I always got a loaner but that aside the service was amazing. They went out of their way to find and fix any issue I presented. With my Jeep, "can't replicate sorry". Acura gave me a loaner for a week so they could diagnose a problem with my A-Spec suspension. When I moved and no Acura dealership was near they arranged my warranty work through a Honda dealership. The service was unreal and they always called a week later to ensure everything was still to my satisfaction.

Yeah, BMW offers amazing service as well. Loaner cars for oil changes, etc...

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Just installed the catback AFE exhaust, with x-pipe. System utilizes stock tips.

Also just finished a full LED swap. All interior bulbs and exterior reverse and stop/signal bulbs. I've been sponsored by DeAutokey for several years now with LED lighting. I just completed testing on the Jeep and let them know exactly what bulbs to include in their GC Kit. If interested PM me and I will provide you a coupon code.

Also debadged hood, doors and added black emblems at the rear

More to come
