Did my first amateur detailing today after 3 weeks of ownership.

Wash, clay bar, wax.

Need to figure out what takes tiny bug blood specs off the white... they leave a little orange pinpoint stain.

Nothing lame about that. Is always a good feeling.

Since I never was able to see out them, nor have I had reason to - it doesn't affect me. That being said, if you ever found yourself sitting in the rear boot and tried to look out the windows - visibility would be zero.

But I have to say the wax I recently bought (Wolfgang - Fuzion) is probably the easiest wax to remove that I've ever worked with. I highly recommend this stuff to anyone looking for an extra high quality wax.

I've never used a clay bar but I may now on my windshield after reading your post. What do you use to remove the clay from the windshield after claying it?

Which is good, because I do not know a single BMW owner that has not formed a first name relationship with the service team due to so many gremlins.
When the oil changes are free, you get them done at the dealer. It's a good system. Drop my car off first thing in the morning, grab a loaner for the work day, then pick it up in the evening. Last time I went in, they gave me a 335 diesel for a loaner (back in 2011) which pretty nice since they were rare at the time.
