I'm surprised these, (CB Radios), are not an option in today's vehicles. It would take nothing for the manufacturers to install them.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

The market for CB radio is very, very limited these days...other wireless communication technologies have taken over this space for consumers and most other non-professional drivers. There's no real incentive for a manufacturer to offer them.

The one option I could really use would be the addition of the NOAA weather band. Sometimes a mobile connection just doesn't exist.

LOL

Not only is that relatively worthless for 99% of owners, but they can't even afford to keep the flipper glass and small accessories within the spare tire area updated with each new model.

Keep dreaming.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I've always had a CB radio in my vvehicles since the 70's. And yes, there's still a lot of chatter and info at least on I75 in GA.

Here's my current Uniden :

I use a K30 magnet mount mounted when needed on the roof. Surprisingly good reception and transmission.

Get a little HAM radio and you can pick up the NOAA signal from almost anywhere, in my experience and with the proper antenna.

Installed my Mopar CAI today. It sounds and looks great. BT catch can is on order. And already used my Diablo sport to tune, once I do an exhaust I will get in touch with Hemi Fever tuning again and get this perfect. Ordering SRT spider monkeys and tires next weekend.

I actually have a Motorola GP68 VHF, programmed with a multitude of frequencies, but that's not the point. I would rather it be in the head unit, WX band.

Had new shoes installed--Continental LX20s. Hope I like 'em, have always liked the Continentals I've owned in the past.

Just looked up your antenna mount. No-one, it seems, sells them here in Australia. Can get one off of ebay, though.

Something else to consider.
