Needed another coat as the light coat showed sprinkles of paint. It's pretty blacked out but balances out the hatch. Plus felt like it needed that familiar oval badge to show its an overland. I'll update pics tomorrow.

Thanks! It's actually for Mercedes and had to modify it using a small piece of metal. Some other people on here have done the same and gave me the idea.

Interesting, how well do these guys actually work?

Yesterday I picked up some 20" Overland rims, now just to get some snow tires mounted/balanced.

Yeah, those were bad. Even with people documenting their installs online, I felt like I was just winging it on my own.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Installed interior LED lighting today - price was $19 from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s00).

I figured I would give it a try as the Precision LED kits started at $80 which did not include all bulbs - glove box, vanity mirrors, and license plate are all extra = $140 if you get everything (Jeep Grand Cherokee Premium LED Interior Lighting Package 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012)

Placed these into my '15 Limited and all the bulbs go in great. As already known, map lights overhead can not be replaced easily ala 'plug and play', nor do any kits seem to come with replacements. The contrast kinda pisses me off. However, that is not kits fault, no idea why Jeep did that /sigh. Rear License plate lights can not be replaced with what came in the kit, as they are not really bulbs like in the older model GCs, - more like panels? Anyone have a good alternative/replacement for the license plate lights for '15 models?

Overall I am pleased with them - not blindingly bright but I prefer the white light compared to the stock. For $19 not a bad upgrade - will see how long they last (company claims 5000 hours).

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

My '15 came with LED license plate bulbs.

You don't need the Premium kit from Precision LED. I have the standard and they are bright (LED). $44 for the kit. You get everything but the glove box and License Plate. But, from what you now know the license plate is already LED. The glove box didn't matter to me because I open it maybe 2-3 times in a vehicle lifetime.

I tried some Amazon bulbs and found they got loose or flickered. Temperature change (summer - winter) also affected them.
