Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Finally fitted my roof tray and did a tyre rotation.

I can also finally sleep at night now that I've sorted out my OCD in regards to the label on the rear power socket (which I had reconfigured as permanent power but obviously the socket itself was still labelled as ignition).

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

My GC has had a belly ache since it's last off-roading trip. So yetsterday I replaced the front belly pan and also changed out the chrome applique (as it's called) to a black one to complete the blacked out front.

The lower fascia comes off easily, but separating all of the parts was a real PITA with all of the tabs each piece has.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Ordered a customtronix bronze package just so I can input NAV addresses on the fly. Don't need extra cameras, extra video inputs, etc...

It's actually plasti-dipped - most of the black is dipped. Figured I'd do that to see if I like the look. If I still like it in 6+ months I'll look at wrapping or painting. There's even a carbon fiber grill, but it's $600!!

I use the Meguires interior wipes and once to wiped the mirrors (also dipped) with them. They put a nice coat on the dip that gave it a subtle satin sheen and also got rid of the rubbery feel of the dip so that feels smooth and firm.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Installed RAX bronze jailbreak to input NAV addresses on the fly. Installed adjustable air links to level out my suspension. Super easy. Crazy you can fine tune your ride height so quickly compared to coil springs. Coils don't clunk over bumps, but that's a whole separate argument.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Did oil change today after 5k miles. Currently at 20,091.

After I decided to change out my cabin filter. It was dirty but for some reason I expected for it to be dirtier. Check it out. Went with the Fram with arm&hammer cabin filter. Will see how it performs. Is it supposed to be scented out of the box cause I didn't smell a thing.

And then I drained my catch can.

How did you reconfigure that? I went to Costco yesterday and loaded up the Waeco fridge with frozen goodies. Had to leave it turned off due to no power whilst in the store. (temp dropped from -16 degs C to -2 degs C).

Thanks.

Thanks.

Simple fuse switch, under the bonnet. Check your owners manual, it gives you a detailed explanation. Very easy to do.

I've looked up the manual and can't find how to do this.
