It occurs to me that you might be able to get some black foam "backer rod" in there...check an insulation contracting supplier for it.

Nah man. They fit perfect for the tires I went with. Rubis use mud terrains, mine at A/Ts. They're relatively quite tires. I think I need to trim the felt liner cause every now and then I hear that knock like they caught on it.

Side note. I knew fitment wouldn't b a issue sense they have the same bolt pattern and they have like a 1-1/2inch of back spacing on them so a little more room inside.

Not today but yesterday I wanted to see what it would look like if I blacked out the bottom of the rear bumper

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Took mine into the dealer the other day to get my new key made (the new one has a rear window pop button that the old key didn't - score!) and get the passenger hid bulb replaced. It turned purple a day or two after I purchased it so they fixed it for free.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Spent the weekend on Fraser Island.

I reckon everyone should go there at least once as a reminder as to what an amazing country we live in.

I tried really hard to get the Jeep stuck so that I could try out some borrowed sand trax or even my winch but to no avail. Even in 600mm of soft sand the Jeep just ploughed on. Passed a few other brands that weren't as fortunate and even offered assistance to one soul pretty well bogged. I think that the thought of being snatched out by a Jeep was a bit too much for his sensibilities and so I got the ' shes rite mate, its under control'.

Ah well, one can but try!

Pete
