Total of $103.16. Not sure what the dealers are currently charging for an oil change on the EcoDiesel, however I have very little trust for the work done at the local dealerships. I've been working with member JeepCares for the past few weeks trying to get answers on what service they actually performed the last time they had my Jeep for over a week. The customer service for the local dealerships SUCK and I'd much rather do the oil change myself and know it's done right then take it to these idiots that work at the local dealerships.

Rant over.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Wasn't today, however I thought I'd share my experience. I ordered the Eagle Eyes led tail lamps, but I didn't think they would arrive before I went back to school. The box shows up the day before I'm going to drive 12 hours from Long Island to NC Triad, and being the lazy guy I am I went to the dealership. I explained how the third brake light will power the inner lights, and they said no problem, and the set came with directions. Got her back, looked awesome. Drove to school, when I start hearing a clanking noise.

I had recently gotten both rear shocks replaced due to failure, so I was freaking out thinking it was the rear right shock. Brought it into my local dealer in NC, and find out it's the damn resistor box just dangling inside the rear bumper..SMH. So I left my vehicle with them for a day, and they mounted it correctly. I can't believe the dealer in NY just left it hanging in there, but I recognize this is an aftermarket part.

All in all I'm very satisfied with how my base model Grand Cherokee turned out. I figured I'd throw some images your way, as I definitely enjoy all of yours.

turns out the plastidip didn't set fully. it was extremely cold and raining when i picked it up, maybe that was it. who knows? i've talked to a few people who had work done by this shop - plastidipped their front grills on trucks - that have had it for 3+ years with no issues or visible wear, so i'm not too worried about it. he's going to re-do it when i finally get the windshield replaced and he does the brow.

in the meantime, even with this issue on the back corners, still looks better than the stock chrome.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I'm going to try and take a decent video this weekend. Also there is a resistor box, which is probably the more annoying part of the install. I had a dealer in NY install them for me, but they ended up leaving this piece dangling. The dealer I go to in NC is much more personable, as I'm able to speak with the lead mechanic. He mounted it for me, re routing the resistor box into the trim (interior) where the rear hatch makes contact

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Posted this in the HA thread, but figured I should venture out into the forum more. Had this done yesterday.

I thought that the trivalent chrome pieces would grow on me, but I ended up disliking then even more. That, and the mismatched chrome window trim needed to go. Now it all matches. The grille turned out different than I expected, but I like it. Also had the windows tinted, but I'm going to have them redo the fronts darker, and then tint the windshield too.
