No left the stock speakers for now, they do the job for what i listen to and all. Only thing i might look into is a good powered sub, dont reall want to get crazy and install a system because i actually use the cargo area a good bit back there.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

since uconnect controls pretty much everything, how does that work with an aftermarket head unit?

I didn't have uconnect in there to begin with. But the new harness sold for these things is pretty much plug and play. i retained everything, steering wheel controls and all. Really it was an upgrade to the dated ugly basic radio without a screen and all.

Went out over the weekend to the Montana Mountains trail in AZ. It's out east past Gold Canyon. The main trail is just a dirt road, but there are lots of off-shoots to explore and play around on.

Did you go all the way down the switchbacks towards Superior? That's the fun part...

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Nah, I ended up driving up the Hewitt Canyon Rd (172) to Rogers trough and then back down. Wasn't sure how much was left to follow the loop, so I headed back out the way I came in on Queen Valley rd.

Definitely want to finish the loop at some point. Got out there around 2p with a little one, so next time it'll be earlier.
