Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Took it to the dealership for my first oil change since I bought it last year. Swapped out to full synthetic, rotated the tires, and had them install 6K Phillips bulbs in my headlights and the SRT Led fogs. Both looked good in the bright sun but haven't had a chance to test them in the dark yet (when it'll really matter).

Can you take a picture of the 6ks with the LED fogs turned on if you get a chance?

Replaced the factory plastic rails with RRO steel rails and roof rack.

I probably won't have a chance until Friday or Saturday. There's a few comparisons in these threads if you haven't seen them:

I also did SRT fog lights.. wow. Pics inside

New OEM 2015 SRT LED fog lights installed in High Altitude. Pictures and install!

Yep, what I did was take it to the dealership. It wasn't going to drive itself.

One of the drawbacks of living downtown... street parking isn't too conducive to auto maintenance.

Put a Mopar hood decal on. Then I sold my black rims and I'm driving around on Overland wheels until I get my new wheels.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I ordered a pair of the Grand Cherokee lettering kits to replace the chrome trim on the doors. The trim has been bubbled since I got the car so need to get it removed and cleaned up.

Do you have a lift on there? Looks like you could use a lift.

No lift and surprisingly no rubbing with those tires. I would love to get a lift but I was quoted outrageous install prices for RRO's 2.5" spacer lift (1,250 for just the instal). I'm waiting for a bigger lift to come onto the market. Would really like to see 4"-5" of lift.

You might be waiting a long time. There is only so much suspension travel and much more than that and you wouldn't have enough downtravel left and performance would suffer greatly. Many guys run Bilstein 5100 on top of the RRO lift to get a full 3" in front. That's probably as much as I would do. Call some shops out of the city and get a quote. Heck if your around Chicago I would help you do a lift for like $200.

I appreciate the insight. I find myself in Chicago often. If I ever drive there, I'll definitely get in touch. Will be looking until the bilstein combo too. Thanks again.
