Installed the correct wheel locks. The long ones (82212564) are the ones listed for the Summit but they are too long and stick out like a sore thumb. The shorter ones (82212567) work well. Both are installed so you can see the difference

The first warm weekend I'm shaving the doors. I think it looks so much cleaner. Might even do the "4x4" on the rear hatch too.

Plus it gives me an excuse to mess around with my new DA polisher 😬

What fairing do you have? do you like it?

Hey Volvite. Finally had a chance to do more observations on the fairing. See below.

Under 50 MPH
Absolutely no noise. Neither the fairing nor bars make a peep

Above 60 MPH
If my interior sunroof was open, I could hear the wind rushing above and/or below the fairing and there did sound like some plastic was rattling around.

To remedy this, I added the soft adhesive foot pads that come with the fairing and put them in-between the connection point between the fairing and the plastic roof rail housing. This has eliminated any plastic rattling sound.

If you want to eliminate all noise, I think you should consider the oversized fairing (44"). After you cut it down to 42" - 42.5", you will have full coverage on the rack and the gaps that can create a lot of noise will be eliminated. The cutting was very easy to do. I used a dremel to cut the edges, and then I sanded them down and sanded a bevel on them. It looks completely stock. I’ve added pictures below to illustrate.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I plan to do everything. Except the JEEP in back. I've never seen that off so I'm guessing it has holes behind it.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

The back isnt flat on mine so im just getting the black emblem. No use in removing the emblem and seeing that silly indentation. Jeep screwed us on that just like the stupid uconnect signature in text messages. If it just said Jeep I might be able to deal with it a little better. Unfortunately FCA has turned these into floating advertisements
