Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I took delivery of my custom order, clayed/sealed/waxed it and started getting to know the new ride. Now the fun begins.

Thanks, I'm really happy with it so far.

Yup, in DP, did you recognize that from the photos?

I'm guessing you're down here too or at least familiar with the area?

Sprayed on Surf City's Beyond Black. Spread the drops by lightly wiping with a clean terry cloth towel or a micro fiber one. Smells good too.

I recently switched to this filter and like it so far.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Went to Discount tire during lunch to have my all of my TPMS sensors replaced since 2 were malfunctioning and upon closer inspection a few hours later noticed ALL four wheels were damaged. I just had these powder-coated 3 weeks ago.

Discount tire is paying for the re-coating but this is extremely frustrating.
Especially since this isn't the first set they've damaged. This will be my last transaction with them.

Why did I have all 4 changed? ...because I had to send them all back to the vendor for credit.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

^^^ that's really weird, I have never had anything but positive experiences with Discount Tire. Infact I won't let anyone else work on my vehicles for wheel and tire stuff. I don't even see how they would have caused that damage. Not doubting you, but usually you would think if damage is gonna happen at a wheel shop it would be near the outer lip Or mainly right near the lug nuts. Not on spokes, near center cap, and lug openings. Weird.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

My guess is it was either one or all of the following.
...impact gun when they removed/reinstalled the lugs
...object that holds the wheel on when balancing.
...a screwdriver from trying to pry the center-caps off.

I'm pretty sure I'll find more damage once I clean and remove them from the Jeep later today. Last time I had them replace a wheel when they gouged the barrel in several places with a screwdriver trying to remove wheel weights. This was two separate Discount tires.

Honestly I don't care how it happened because it shouldn't have happened.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Half those marks are from wear and tear. I see it all the time you would be surprised how much rubbish your tires and other passing cars flick up. Constantly being sandblasted

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Man, discount tire would never use a screw driver to pry a center cap off. They know better than that. This baffles me. Ahh well glad to see its being taken care of.
