Painted Calipers on Sunday. They got pretty messy on a recent trip to Cape York so gave them the once over. Pretty happy with the results.

Oooh..."Baby's New Shoes" arrived in the big brown truck. Time to make that appointment for inspection, alignment and tire installation!

Looking for new shoes too, for my OEM 20x8. Can you post what size and brand are those and if you going to put them on the 20" OEM wheels?
I'm looking for the most aggressive ones for on road.

Those are Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus in OEM 265/50-20. Same tire that's standard on the current model year Summit. I like them already just from "how they feel" and they are not even installed yet! LOL

No upsizing for me. I don't need to deal with speedo-odo being inaccurate nor do I want to buy a fifth tire to deal with the spare being required to have the same diameter. And my JGC is lowered 1" as it is with alternative sensor links.

What's the savings advantage to having them delivered, then having to haul them somewhere else to be installed? I would think most tire and wheel places would not want to install tires you bring in. Any more than repair places want to install parts you purchase trying to save money.

Yeap.
I think for me instead of going for the most aggressive all/terrain 285/50/20 shoes, will do just summer/performance or all seasons one and then lower it with Eibach Pro kit springs.
Anyone with different springs? I know eibatch doesn't drop too much and thats what I'm looking, for a mild drop.

Eibach is alot lower. Not like road magnets. Google it. There are some people on here with them. I lowered mine with SRT oem springs. Not as rough as eibach and as low. I'm also running oem SRT wheels. 20x10 w 295/45/20. I should have gone with 22x10.5 and 285/40/22.

I went to the independent mechanic we really enjoy working with first...who is a Pirelli authorized business. They looked up the tires; looked at TireRack and suggested that I buy them online and bring in to install since they couldn't touch the online pricing or even come close. (Same thing for the last set I put on) They are very happy to install tires that were sourced elsewhere and do really good work. I actually ended up buying from DiscountTireDirect because in addition to the $60 Pirelli rebate, they had a second $100 holiday rebate available (both valid on the same purchase) and free shipping. I had naother 3% rebate from EBates. (And AMEX points on top of that) My net cost per tire was $180 including road hazard. And it doesn't cost me anything to get them to the mechanic since i have to drive there anyway. Their install is very reasonable priced as is their alignment. And I'm due for a state inspection so I can get it all done in a single morning. It works for me and I'm supporting a local, independent business.
