Finished up a full detail. Wash, clay, glaze, sealant, wax, wheels, trim. Been a long couple of days, so happy to have this behind me. Lol.

What did you do to your WK2 today?

Installed a separate battery to power the front and rear dash cams. I got paranoid of having the dash cam draw power from the battery directly since I use the centre console 12v which is constantly on. I also wanted my dash cams to remain on while parked out f the house with crazy people these days.

Here's the battery unit made specifically to power the dash cam:

It recharges when the vehicle is on as well as power the dash cam at the same time. When the vehicle is off, the built in battery kicks in to power e dash cam up to 20+ hours.

This is where I connected it via a power inverter. Wires are still exposed prior to being tucked away. Kids constantly kick the rear seat as you can see:

Here it is neatly tucked away under the front passenger seat and secured via Velcro:

Gave my new Trailhawk it's first wash today and purchased the Mopar cargo area rubber mat that matches the slush mats. Amazon $57 free shipping.

I just wash, clayed and sealed mine yesterday. I used Hyrdo2 sealant which a is spray on and wash off. Lasts 3-6 months. It was so easy I thought I'd share.

Dealer told me the cargo mat would come with my GC Trailhawk. Guess it doesn't and I'm going to need to order one. Thanks for the Amazon tip.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Just about done re-badging it.

Had chrome badges that were plasti-dipped black to see if I liked the look - i knew i would though. So I bought all the black badges and swapped them out. The last one to do is the lift gate Jeep emblem. Also swapped the fog light bezels for the black ones too

This also matches the newly added black grille rings. Although I did go with the chrome honey comb rings though as that's the only part I like the look of in chrome.
