Washed it and fixed the damaged heat shield that was hitting the downpipe

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I just installed a set of wheels Velgen VMB5 and Nitto 420S (285/40/22) tires.

I hope next week, install the Eibach springs and Bilstein's

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Added a tazer, now my wife can put in directions while I drive. DRL stays on with turn signals and fogs stay on for high beam.

Played with the light show but I don't see that getting used often.

Today I saw a young lady driving a red Laredo identical to mine except for one glaring change-she had 20' overland wheels on hers! Color me jealous as they looked FANTASTIC on it.

If you like your wife, why would you want to make her turn signals less noticeable?

If having the DRLs off didn't attract attention, nobody would be complaining about them. And since you can't see yours anyway, why not put safety first?

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Does the Tazer need to always be around or can people "share it" ?

Some options just get switched in to on or off in your ECM, others require the tazer to be plugged in all the time to use the option.

It's not VIN locked so it could be shared.

I had her drive down the neighborhood during the day and at night and the turn signal is just as noticeable as any other car, but now her jeep is even more noticeable because both DRL are getting the other drivers attention instead of just one.

I feel it's more safe this way. Now if it had to do with the rear lights that would have other cars right behind her I wouldn't mess with it. But hopefully for the front the cars will be on the other side of the road.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

The primary reason they kill the DRL when the turn signal is on is to provide a "darker" background so the signal is more noticeable. That said, if you like it "on" even during a turn signal even, go for it.
