If that 30% is from a legit source, that needs to be factored in. Good luck.

Dear lord, pay the deductible. It'll pay itself off minutes after settlement.

Will take him a year to gain a $1500 judgement.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Threads kinda going off topic, but i recently just dealt with similar case. Read up on the Diminished Value claims and you gotta be ready for a fight and lawyers possibly. Depending on the number value might not even be worth it either unless your lawyer can 100% warrant no lawyer fees out of your pocket, but you still get full claim about as well. Either way it always sucks and you end up loosing in the long run (either time or money).... Just how it works and thats life, just be happy its something replaceable and not worse. Only way to look at it and be somewhat at peace. GL

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Small claims max in WI is $5k.....BUT I cannot file for DV in WI as the laws were changed last year. The state of WI does not recognize diminished value, and therefore any actual loss of value is just that - my loss. For me to absorb. Based upon info gathered from a national wholesaler of vehicles, along with actual prices paid - my Jeep will lose almost 30% of it pre-accident value after it is fixed if it were sold at auction on the national market. Almost $10K.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Added a layer of material to the base of the cup holders this morning, while the rain buckets down outside. A little harder to clean if there is a spill however I think it provides a more finished look..
Also cleaned the LOGO on the front mats.. I was in Adelaide last week and had a look at a couple of GC's. I see the logo is now coming out in a darker finish...

Added the chrome tow hooks. It took me about 2 hours but that is because I went very deliberately. The thread here (WK2 Front Tow Hook Installation (pic heavy)) really helps to follow for install, and the included MOPAR instructions haven't been updated since the kit has been. Overall I am very happy. It really completes the front end look I was going for (classy, yet fuctional).

And a side shot:

I'm still planning on getting the JB Speaker fog lights, but I think that will have to wait for tax returns.

Nice job looks great. Where'd you get the chrome tow hooks? Justforjeeps.com has you purchase both the black and chrome ones because the hardware is only available in the black kit.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I got the kit and chrome ones from justforjeeps. They were running a discount for the chrome ones at the time and i used my appreciation card so they ended up only costing me about $50.
