Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Gave the Jeep a bath to remove the various blossoms stuck to it from the trees at work.

The unfortunate part was, the dandelion fluff was flying everywhere. I ended up having to move into the garage to wax it.

Washing your truck with a brush? I hope you don't mind swirl marks and scratches.

Not all brushes are made that way. I use to use one at a dealership to wash cars. They make brushes soft enough to not damage cars. BTW anything can end up leaving scratches, including hand mittens depending on what dirt it catches. Always hope for the best

There is a Boar's hair brush that is supposed to be ok to use according to some reviews ive read but the one in the picture looks to be synthetic which is a big NONO. Just because a dealer uses it on their cars doesn't mean it's good for the paint.

Of course anything can scratch if you're not careful but if you start with something that will scratch you're guaranteeing damage.

Hit the 1000 mile mark so I decided to do my first oil & filter change. Put in some Pennzoil ultra platinum with a mopar 899 filter. Also checked my catch can had maybe a 1/4 inch of oil in it. The Hemi is going to be very happy with synthetic running through it.

Well, mine did the same thing about a week ago but not in Chicago😊. And, I love it more every day the more I learn about it.

Dan

I love it. The only complaint would be the fuel economy. I was thinking traded it in for EcoDiesel, but I heard there is a quite a reliability problem with it. That make me hesitate to do so.

You know, this actually makes me think.

Guys always love to get a shot of the odometer at certain intervals. It's in our DNA. Most women must think we're crazy.

Now that all those gauges are becoming all digital, it would be awesome if you could have options for the vehicle to take stills internally of whatever intervals you set (ever 5K, every 10K, every 20K, etc.).

Then the system could send you an email with the still frame.

That way, you wouldn't have to worry about missing it. Plus, you wouldn't have the need for people to be attempting to grab the shot with a camera or phone while driving.

Finally, since it would essentially be a screen grab, it would never be out of focus or poorly lit.

That would be a feature I would totally go for. Heck, I might actually pay for U-Connect just for that.
