Now that all those gauges are becoming all digital, it would be awesome if you could have options for the vehicle to take stills internally of whatever intervals you set (ever 5K, every 10K, every 20K, etc.).

Then the system could send you an email with the still frame.

That way, you wouldn't have to worry about missing it. Plus, you wouldn't have the need for people to be attempting to grab the shot with a camera or phone while driving.

Finally, since it would essentially be a screen grab, it would never be out of focus or poorly lit.

That would be a feature I would totally go for. Heck, I might actually pay for U-Connect just for that.
That would be pretty cool. Maybe Magnus could do something with his software?

Installed'(LOL) my new LUXE LLOYD Cargo Mat. Close to if not a full 1/2 inch thick and cut to fit. Very pleased with it.

Of course anything can scratch if you're not careful but if you start with something that will scratch you're guaranteeing damage.
I've been using a brush on my vehicles for years. The same brush. I think I bought it at a truck stop about 25 years ago. I washed my black Honda Element with it for 7 years and it didn't leave scratches or swirl marks. I wash it out really good after each use.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Installed a Curt hitch. Easiest install ever except the thing seemed to weigh a ton. Took 30 minutes to find a 21mm socket and 5 minutes to install it. I didn't even have to jack the jeep up. The wiring plug adapter is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

In my younger days a used a brush with some acetone to try to remove adhesive used for window tint. Well that brush scratched the crap out of my windows but you couldn't tell unless you looked from the inside out.
If you believe that brushed hasn't scratched any of your cars then your clear coats must be as hard as the rock of Gibraltar.

There are countless videos online that prove that brushes scratch paint/clear coat surfaces.

I did that with my last truck using a hidden hitch brand hitch. It worked well enough, but I went with the factory installed tow kit this time around.

So...totally...worth...it.

Not only did I get both the 4 and 7 pin wiring pre-installed, upgraded alternator and cooling system, but Jeep does an awesome job integrating the hitch into the rear bumper. The whole thing literally disappears into the body. Plus, I don't lose ground clearance below the bumper:

Network,

I got the same deal from the factory with mine. This picture doesn't show it too well. Anyway, if you get this system, how much better is the alternator over the standard one?

Honestly, the fact that it doesn't show up well is a plus in my book. The fact that you have the Hemi is more obvious from the back ....

I can't remember off hand, but if the alternator is anything like the difference between the two for my Ford truck, it's only like 10 amps. Not a huge difference, but good for the extra load for trailer brakes and such. Just the fact that it comes with the harness for such things is nice, too.

I like it more for winter when the battery is working harder, but I'm still only have a short commute to work for the battery to charge back up in.
